Server Rules
Updated 2026-01-27
1. No Cheating or Hacking
Players may not use cheats, hacks, third-party software, stream sniping/livestream META, or in-game exploits that provide an unfair advantage. Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage will result in disciplinary action.
Players with prior cheating reports or bans on their Steam account may be subject to increased monitoring.
2. No Harassment or Hate Speech
All players must be treated with respect and dignity at all times. Harassment, hate speech, offensive language, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated. We encourage competitive play, but it must remain respectful—excessive trash talk or language intended to demean others is prohibited.
To report a violation, submit a video clip showing the incident, including the date and time, in a Discord ticket.
3. No exploiting glitches
Report any in-game glitches or bugs rather than exploiting them for personal gain.
4. No offensive player names
Choose appropriate and non-offensive character names.
5. No excessive mic spam
Use voice chat responsibly and avoid excessive background noise.
6. No impersonation
Do not pretend to be an admin, moderator, or other player.
7. Streaming & META
Players may not view or be present in the livestream of another player on WILDLANDZ while playing on the same server, unless explicitly approved by the streamer. Using any information gained from a livestream (META) to gain an advantage is strictly prohibited, regardless of whether you are logged into a streaming platform (Twitch, Kick, YouTube, etc.).
8. Building
See map specific info for building rules.
9. Blocking Admins
Blocking an admin from messaging you about server related issues will result in said player being banned from the server until the block is removed.
10. Combat Logging
Logging out of the game to avoid an encounter after a physical attack or shots have been fired by one or more parties is strictly prohibited. You must either retreat, negotiate, or fight.
Combat status ends 10 minutes after the last instance of engagement. Shots do not need to hit you to count as combat—being shot at is considered combat.
If you are involved in a standoff and are unsure whether the opposing party is still present, logging out before 10 minutes have passed since the last combat action is done at your own risk.
If you must leave the game during an active combat situation, you may be required to sacrifice your character.
Penalties:
- First offense: Your character will be killed immediately (via F11 or by an admin) at your last logout location. You may not return to reclaim any loot.
- Second offense: Permanent ban.
If you attempt to relog after combat logging and find yourself banned, open a Discord ticket to discuss the situation with the @AdminZ
11. Restarts
Server restarts occur every four (4) hours, beginning at midnight EST. Players will receive logout warnings starting 10 minutes before the restart, with repeated reminders until 1 minute prior. To avoid losing progress or loot, it is strongly recommended to log out before the 2-minute warning. Loot and progression will not be restored if players ignore the logout warnings and a rollback occurs.
If you are engaged in combat up until a restart, you may not use the restart to gain an advantage over another player logging back in. Upon logging in after a restart, both parties must immediately disengage. Combat may resume 5 minutes after the server comes back online (e.g., if the server restarts at 12:00 and comes back at 12:03, combat can resume at 12:08).
Re-engagement is optional, not mandatory.
12. Lost Loot / Lost Cars & Boats
There are many instances where players might lose loot by placing it on the ground or when swapping with another item.
Additionally it is not recommended to log out in the water on a boat.
Boats decay and despawn over time. They need to be regularly repaired to prevent them from despawning.
Admins will not replace loot lost to game glitches or DayZ being DayZ. Admins will not TP players to land who find themselves stranded in the water upon logging in. Admins will only intervene if players are stuck in the map due to a map glitch. Not due to a poor decision.
Finally, make sure to log out prior to the server restarting. If you are on a moving boat or car at the time of a restart it is likely your boat or car and you will not be in the same place when you log back in.
13. Player Bans
If an admin determines that your behavior warrants a ban, it may be issued with or without prior warning, depending on the severity of the infraction. Bans may occur without explanation in serious cases.
All server bans are considered permanent. In some cases, a banned player may submit an appeal through the ticket system; however, server bans will often be accompanied by a Discord ban, which may limit or prevent the ability to appeal.
Using alternate or secondary accounts to bypass a ban is strictly prohibited. Ban information may be shared with other servers.
14. Contacting AdminZ
Players should never DM a server AdminZ with matters related to the server and do not tag AdminZ in the chat channels. All server related issues should be handled through the ticket process.
15. No Alt Accounts
Players with multiple Steam accounts may only use one on our servers. Pick one account and only use that account. This applies to all WILDLANDZ servers. The use of Alt accounts is not permitted and will result in all accounts receiving a ban. Please refer to Rule #13.
Rules are subject to change, please check Discord for the most current versions.
